McGrath & Associates has completed a $5.6 million renovation of the St. Louis Heart and Vascular center, located at 3550 McKelvey Road in Bridgeton.
St. Louis Heart and Vascular is a high-tech ambulatory surgery center and medical office facility.
McGrath installed a new exterior skin to the 21,000-square-foot, two-story building. It also removed roof overhangs and raised the parapet walls to increase the building height, according to the company.
The building’s interior also underwent a major renovation, including new high-end wall and floor finishes, and a new glass and stainless steel stairway. The first floor of the building features a catheterization lab/operating room with pre- and post-op recovery rooms, which double as sleep study rooms.
The second floor of the building includes the cardiac physicians’ offices and exam rooms, as well as a PET/CT scanner.
The Marcus Organization served as the developer on the project and Bates Associates was the architect. Innersite was the interior designer for the project and Vanderweil Engineering served as the engineer.
St. Louis Heart and Vascular also is currently renovating its Christian Hospital Office, located at 11155 Dunn Road, according to its website. The center is expanding its waiting and reception room, adding six exam rooms and two additional testing areas.
The renovation is expected to be complete by mid-August.
St. Louis Heart and Vascular is physician-owned, according to director of operations, Kate Aufderheide.
