After losing her older brother, well-known visual artist Tyrell “Rell Finesse” Thompson, to the same fate in June 2016, she turned to make her longtime dream of being an artist a reality. KV quickly made a name for herself after the release of her debut EP, executive produced by Mvchxne, “Love Sucks!” in 2019. Last year, KV took home “Best Hip Hop Artist-Female” at the St. Louis Music Festival (S.L.U.M. Fest) Awards.
