LOUIS, MISSOURI Alexis Jones, the 17-year-old St. Louis R&B artist known as Gabbii, will be showcased as the Kwame Foundation’s 2015 Live Your Dream scholarship recipient at the “Live Your Dream in Music” concert on March 14, 7 p.m. at the Maryville University Auditorium, 650 Maryville University Drive. Tickets are available at the door starting at 6 p.m. General admission is $15. A limited number of VIP tickets, which include admission, refreshments and a CD, will be available for $30

The Kwame Foundation Live Your Dream scholarship supports talented high school seniors who have a passion in the arts but who otherwise might not have an opportunity to achieve their career dreams in music, dance, spoken word, and art. Recipients are signed to record at TBeats Studio and receive a full range of artist development services including album production, booking at national and local events, artistic development, fashion and career consulting, marketing and more.
ABOUT GABBII
Alexis Jones, the 17-year-old known as Gabbii has been a standout singer from an early age. Gabbii was selected to sing in Junior Stars at Six Flags at the age of 10. She also won the grand prize for the ‘Street Dreamz Living the Dream Contest’ and was semi-finalist in the ‘Teen Talent Competition’ hosted by the Fox Theater. In addition to her musical abilities, Gabbii is an actress who has appeared in dramatic productions written and directed by Joel P. E. King, including Meeting at the Elder’s Circle, Through the Eyes, Real life and Issues of Love starring Kendra C. Johnson from Monique’s Phat Girlz and BET’s The Game.
