Integrated Facility Services (IFS) has opened a newly renovated, state-of-the-art stainless steel fabrication facility to support the growing needs of its pharmaceutical and other industrial clients. The self-contained custom fabrication facility prevents carbon steel contamination ensuring the cleanliness of stainless steel piping assemblies. The space also serves as a fabrication area for bead and crevice free (BCF) fusion of PVDF piping for USP water systems, which are used by pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The 1,500-square-foot facility is equipped with orbital welding equipment as well as cutting and facing tools that enable IFS to fabricate piping to the most stringent specifications. The renovation included complete retooling, new lighting, upgraded ventilation and a new oxygen monitoring system.
In addition, IFS provides environmental system control validation for critical areas such as pharmaceutical production facilities. The company integrates multiple protocols into their client’s HVAC and production operating systems to provide a 21 CFR Part II compliant system with extensive alarming, trending and reporting, and unlimited data storage.
