ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – McGrath & Associates has completed construction on Phase II of a $550,000 interior build-out of offices and the materials management area at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in St. Louis County, Missouri.
In Phase I, McGrath created a storage facility for palletized hospital supplies in a previously unused area of the main building. During Phase II, materials were moved into the new space and McGrath built out offices in the area where materials had been stored. As part of the project, McGrath crane-hoisted a rooftop mechanical HVAC unit into place. Because the project was built within an occupied hospital, McGrath followed strict contamination isolation and infectious prevention measures to ensure a safe work environment and clean air quality for patients and staff. The architect for the project is Answers, Inc. of Ballwin, Missouri. McGrath & Associates is a 100 percent employee-owned general contractor and construction management firm specializing in commercial, health care, industrial, institutional and pharmaceutical construction projects since 1983. McGrath is a member of the Associated General Contractors, the St. Louis Construction OSHA Partnership and has been named “General Contractor of the Year” by the American Subcontractors Association Midwest Council four times out of 14 nominations.
