ST. LOUIS, MO – The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) has contracted with Kwame Building Group, Inc. (KWAME) to provide third-party consultant monitoring services through June 2016.
KWAME will track and report compliance with MSD’s Community Benefits Agreement (CBA), a formal agreement between MSD and community organizations to increase job training, education, internships, workforce diversity, and opportunities for minority-owned and women-owned businesses. MSD has established minority workforce goals of 30 percent and woman workforce goals of seven percent on construction contracts of $500,000 or more. KWAME will track and report compliance with all CBA terms and programs including the Job Training Program; First Source Hiring Program for Construction; Minority-Business and Women-Business Enterprises; Outreach, Education and Internship Program; and workforce inclusion. KWAME also will investigate complaints, recommend best practices for diversity initiatives, and assist MSD in securing funding for job training. Kwame Building Group, Inc.
