HITS, a document and data management company, plans to build a new headquarters in Hazelwood that will be the area’s first commercially owned record storage facility compliant with National Archives & Records Administration guidelines.

The two-phase project at 4872 Park 370 Blvd. is expected to begin in August and cost $10 million.

Already known for document scanning, secure destruction and paperless record storage solutions, HITS’ new facility will enable it to scale and process more than 400 million images per year. Its heightened security will enable HITS to bid for and secure federal contracts to manage and process records for the U.S. Defense Department and civilian agencies.

Midwest Regional Bank is financing the project. Project partners include JSO Architects and Knoebel Construction. Opening is projected for May 2022.
