Work underway on Pi Beta Phi project

Construction is underway in Town and Country on the $1.9 million expansion and renovation of the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women international headquarters.

Completion is scheduled for next June. McGrath & Associates, of St. Louis, is building the project to the design of HKW Architects, also of St. Louis.

The 4,200-square-foot, two-story expansion includes an enlarged lunch area, conference room and mailroom on the first floor and office space on the second floor. The expansion will connect to Pi Beta Phi’s headquarters at 1154 Town and Country Commons Drive. McGrath constructed that building in 2002.

Pi Beta Phi was founded on April 28, 1867, at Monmouth College in Illinois. In Missouri, the organization has chapters at Drury University, Washington University and the University of Missouri.
