The intersection of DeBaliviere and Forest Park Parkway will close July 11 for three weeks to accommodate work on the Loop Trolley project. Meanwhile, another major intersection that had been closed for work on the project has reopened early.
During the closure, workers will remove and rebuild the entire intersection as well as install one of the last segments of trolley track, on DeBaliviere between the Missouri History Museum and Pershing Avenue. Officials said a detour map would be released next week. The intersection of Kingsland Avenue and Delmar Boulevard, closed since June 13, has reopened to traffic several days early. Officials had said the intersection was expected to open by the Fourth of July weekend. However, work continues on the track switch just west of Kingsland, so a short section of Delmar is restricted to single lanes eastbound and westbound. That installation should be completed and all lanes open by the end of next week, officials said. St. Louis Business Journal © June 2016 |
