Crisis Nursery Welcomes Dr. Jovita Oruwari as New Board Member

ST. LOUIS, MO – Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is proud to welcome Jovita Oruwari, M.D. to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Oruwari, of Frontenac, is a surgical oncologist at Mercy Clinic, St. Louis Cancer & Breast Institute.

"Children are unable to speak for themselves and it is unfortunate that not every parent is able to act in the best interest of their children," said Dr. Oruwari. "This makes the work that the Crisis Nursery does in child abuse and neglect prevention very significant. I am very proud to be part of an organization that is such a strong advocate for our children."

Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is committed to preventing child abuse and neglect by offering real help and real hope to families in crisis. The Crisis Nursery is an independent, not-for-profit agency providing short-term, safe havens to more than 7,000 children a year, birth through age 12, whose families are faced with an emergency or crisis.
