Exchange Initiative Announces National Conference To Combat Sex Trafficking

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI
– Exchange Initiative, a new social action organization launched by Nix Conference & Meeting Management, has announced its first national conference “IGNITE: Sparking Action Against Sex Trafficking.” The conference will be held in St. Louis at the St. Louis Union Station DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel from March 2 – 4, 2014.

Cost to attend the three-day conference is $395 and the registration deadline is February 20, 2014. For details and registration, visit  www.ExchangeInitiative.com/IGNITE.

Conference registration fees and corporate sponsorships will help support Exchange Initiative’s development of a new national resource database to combat sex trafficking. The database will include photos of hotel and motel rooms, certified training information, links to community service agencies, and action plans for corporations and citizens.

“As a socially responsible company, we decided to use our professional resources in the meeting and conference industry to fight sex trafficking,” said Molly Hackett, principal of Nix and Exchange Initiative with Jane Quinn. “Our new organization Exchange Initiative promotes global awareness and understanding of the child sex trafficking issue while also sparking real action at the local level.”

The “IGNITE: Sparking Action Against Sex Trafficking” conference will engage, educate and empower professionals from diverse industries in the common battle against child sex trafficking. Conference attendees will include criminal justice professionals, first responders, corporate managers and travel planners, not-for-profit and faith-based community organizations, and educators.

More than 15 distinguished panelists and speakers  will address various facets of the sex trafficking issue. Presenters will include professionals from law enforcement, action organizations, education, and the medical field.

The conference offers four educational tracks to guide participants through workshops geared to their specific professions. Tracks include Criminal Justice, Corporate Travel, Action/Faith Based, and Education/First Responders. Participants also will have the opportunity to exchange ideas within their own industries and with attendees in other professions through evening networking sessions.
