Burger King franchisee Broadway Restaurant Group, which operates locations throughout Metro East, is inviting graduating area high school seniors to apply to the local Burger King Scholars program.
Every Broadway Restaurant Group Burger King location will award $1,000 in scholarship money to students from the nearby community. In total, Broadway Restaurant Group will award more than $50,000.
“We hope to see a bunch of area students and employees apply for this great scholarship opportunity,” said Michael Adams, Broadway Restaurant Group’s vice president of Operations. “It is one of our core values to support each community surrounding our restaurants by hiring local residents, awarding scholarships through the Burger King Scholars program and participating in various community service events and initiatives.”
More information about the program and the application can be found at bk-scholars.com
Graduating high school seniors as well as Burger King employees and their family members who will attend an accredited two- or four-year accredited university, college or vocational-technical school are eligible to apply. Between now and Nov. 30, guests are encouraged to donate to the Burger King Scholars program when they dine-in or drive-through order at any Burger King restaurant.
