Casino employees are raising funds to purchase hygiene kits and care packages for deployed military personnel and veterans

BOONVILLE, MOVeterans and active military will be treated to free meals, discounts and other giveaways at Missouri casinos this Veterans Day on Saturday, November 11. At Isle of Capri Casino Hotel in Boonville, Veterans and active military will receive a $20 Food Credit at The Brew Brothers® restaurant for use on Saturday, November 11. Check with the casino for details and restrictions. Guests will need to present a military ID or VA card.

On Fridays in November, the casino’s team members raise money for veterans by donating $5 to wear jeans. The money raised will be used for the purchase of items for hygiene kits and care packages to send to deployed military personnel or veterans.

Veterans Day giveaways, donations and promotions are just one of the many ways that Missouri casinos honor and support veterans throughout the state. Last year, Missouri casinos sent $11.8 million in tax revenue to the state’s Veterans Commission Trust Fund, which funds healthcare at its seven veterans homes and assists veterans and their dependents through its programs. Missouri casinos have donated more than $372.1 million to the veterans fund since gaming began in Missouri. Missouri casinos also support veterans in their local communities by funding and volunteering at local organizations.
