ST. LOUIS, MO – The intersection of Delmar and Kingsland will close June 6th for four weeks, as workers install the Loop Trolley west end terminus and track switch. The intersection is expected to reopen by the July 4th weekend.

The detour for westbound Delmar traffic:

  • Leland north
  • Loop N west
  • Kingsland north
  • Vernon west
  • Midland south

The detour for eastbound Delmar traffic:

  • Trinity south
  • Washington east
  • Kingsland north
  • Loop S east
  • Leland or Melville north

As always, access to the Delmar Loop shopping, restaurant and entertainment district remains open – visittheloop.com.

Delmar/Des Peres to reopen by Friday
Left turns will resume by this Friday at the Delmar/Des Peres intersection.

Kingsland/Delmar utility work begins May 31
Beginning May 31, Missouri American Water will install new water valves at the Kingsland/Delmar intersection. Parking lanes on both sides of Delmar west of Kingsland will be used for west and eastbound traffic and the center lanes (normal driving lanes) will be closed. Work will be complete in one week.

Brief Parking Closures in Delmar Loop
Workers will be installing the overhead suspension system for the trolley electrical conductor lines along Delmar in the coming weeks. Street parking spaces in the Delmar Loop business district will be out of service for very short periods — less than a day — as workers string cable across Delmar.
