ST. LOUIS, MO – General contractor McGrath & Associates has completed construction on their portion of Ameren Missouri’s new $1.8 million Bland substation in Owensville, Missouri. The 5.5-acre expansion of the 345 kV substation will provide additional capacity for electrical distribution.
McGrath installed 206 deep foundation piers and a new transformer pit, completing some of the work within scheduled line outages. The rocky project site required substantial earthwork to prepare for construction. All of the excavated rock removed during grading was recycled as bank stabilization. The Owensville project is just one of many reliability investments Ameren Missouri is making across its service territory. The company is investing millions of dollars in projects to provide more dependable service by reducing outages and preparing for future energy needs. ABOUT MCGRATH ABOUT AMEREN # # #
