Retail & Restaurant: Knoebel Construction Breaks Ground on Missouri Shopping Center

Knoebel Construction, Inc. of Chesterfield, Mo., has broken ground on the vertical construction of the Shoppes at Mid Rivers in St. Peters, MO. The $54 million project consists of 14 buildings within the 270,000-square-foot shopping center, scheduled to open in fall 2017.

The developer is Brentwood, Tenn.-based GBT Realty Corp. The architect is Nashville, Tenn.-based MJM Architects.

The Shoppes at Mid Rivers is located opposite I-70 from Mid Rivers Mall, the only regional mall in St. Charles County. Confirmed tenants include Academy Sports + Outdoors, Burlington, Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, HomeGoods, ULTA Beauty, Five Below and Famous Footwear.

Knoebel Construction has divided the work into sub-projects with separate management teams in order to meet the expedited schedule and goal of completing the mall in time for the 2017 holiday shopping season.
