HVAC construction contractor Wiegmann Associates and general contractor Arco Beverage completed an $18 million expansion and renovation of Chesapeake, Virginia-based Hoffman Beverage’s 217,392-square-foot beer distribution center and office.
The HVAC systems and building automation system controls were designed by Wiegmann to maintain the required temperatures that beer distributers must monitor and report.
Beer distributors are required to monitor and report all temperatures in warehouse and draft cooler spaces. Variable-frequency drives on the rooftop unit fans, variable air volume boxes and fan terminal units are among the green HVAC upgrades.
