More than 30 women-led businesses came together for the first annual St. Charles Women’s Fashion Collective & Market. Hosted by Soul Sisters Designs & Boutique last month, the event raised nearly $5,000 for Connections to Success’ Dress for Success empowerment program. The event included a fashion show and market featuring fashion and other goods by primarily woman-owned local boutiques and small business vendors.

All ticket sales and a silent auction proceeds were donated to Connections to Success, which empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a support network, professional attire and development tools. Donations of gently used business clothing were also accepted for the organization’s Dress for Success program.

“We strongly believe, as do the other woman-owned businesses who participated in this exciting special event, that we are better together. By collaborating instead of competing, we create a community of support to grow our businesses,” said Ellen Quade, Co-owner of Soul Sisters Designs & Boutique. “In addition to supporting a really great cause and our local women-owned boutiques, St. Charles Women’s Fashion Collective & Market was a fun opportunity to get your girlfriends together, grab a glass of wine, see the Spring and Summer 2023 fashion trends and shop for unique items.”
