Wiegmann Associates began HVAC work on a new $86 million student residential and retail complex near Penn State University.
St. Charles-based Wiegmann is the engineer of record and HVAC mechanical contractor for the design/build project. The developer is CA Student Living, a division of Chicago-based CA Ventures. The general contractor is Brinkmann Constructors and the architect is Shepley Bulfinch.
The 12-story complex, HERE at State College, is expected to open in the fall of 2020. Included are 227 student apartments, two levels of retail space and an underground parking garage.
